This is a Church project of The Everlasting Arms Ministries, an off shoot of the Women of Destiny, in Southwark borough in London, which has been set up as an independent organization.

Ebony Business Network is a Christian organization working to serve the community by providing opportunities for under-privileged women & girls to develop and transform their lives. Through various events, workshop and conferences we provide spiritual empowerment, Christian channels to support their education and enlightenment, for them to realize their potential and rising above their circumstances.

We hold activities for girls that will keep them engaged and off the streets, supporting them to take positive steps to improve their education. We serve women & girls from Black & minority ethnic origins, with ages from 13 to 70 years old. We are however open for other women from other ethnicity to access our service.

These women & girls are under privileged, suffering from lack of confidence and low self esteem as a result of isolation, language barriers, broken homes, bad housing conditions and the stranger syndrome. Some have suffered from domestic violence and psychological abuse which subjected them into a state of depression, compounding their state of low self-esteem. Majorities are on low income and they bring up children suffering from “latch key phenomena”. Where older children are subjected to care for their siblings while mothers work various shifts to fend for the family. The need for this project has been proven over the past 3 years, with over 250 women per year benefiting from our programmes and more demands arising each year.

Our success and achievements records include, women who have moved from menial jobs of various shifts to gaining meaningful employment in skilled office jobs, while some developed through training/re-training into a profession such as, teachers, nurses, lawyers, etc. Some have also learnt trading and new business skills and started their own business on a small scale
